100 Main Street Development Groundbreaking

FIRST POSTED April 9, 2018

In 1999, the structures on Main Street and South Santa Fe were leveled to make ready for a better use of this property in the middle of Vista. Over the years, two different projects were proposed to be developed. Neither of these proposals were adopted.

Today, April 9, 2018, a groundbreaking ceremony took place at the corner of Vista Village Drive and South Santa Fe Avenue. A five-story mixture of shops and high end apartments designed by WEG Architecture and approved by the Planning Commission in 2016 will be under construction. Mayor Judy Ritter and the Vista City Council were at the site to help the developer break ground on the site. The 126 new residential units and 14,500 square feet of commercial space at 100 Main Street will continue the growth and bring more foot traffic to the restaurants and shops.
