On Friday February 8, North Coast Church, Vista was one of nearly 700 churches around the world hosting the 2019 Night to Shine Prom for people with Special Needs, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. It was an unforgettable prom night experience for nearly 100,000 people with special needs ages 14 and older hosted in all 50 states and across the globe all on the same night. North Coast is excited that we had this opportunity to be part of this worldwide movement to change how culture embraces people with special needs and to rally people worldwide to stand up for those who are differently-abled.

We hosted over 230 guests with special needs.

Every guest entered this complimentary event on a red carpet, complete with a cheering crowd and paparazzi. Our guests were first partnered with a buddy for the night who helped them navigate the event and have fun throughout the night. The guests received the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, karaoke, prom favors, and a dance floor… all leading up to the moment when each guest was crowned king or queen of the prom.

It was a magical night put on by over 300 volunteers. Volunteers included 30 Marines in their dress blues from Camp Pendleton proudly walking the red carpet with our guests..
