Could one of these pups attending Friday’s adoption event be the right pet for you? Come meet these cuties on Friday, April 27 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m in front of Aranelle in Carlsbad Village. Volunteers from SPOT will be on hand to talk to you about their many available animals and their adoption process. If you meet a dog who is a good potential match, you can submit an adoption application. Plus, learn how how you can help homeless animals by fostering, volunteering, and donating.
Available dogs are subject to change. Cats will not be at the event. However, you can view adoptable cats on http://spotsavespets.org/cats-n-kittens/
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Shepherd Mix
All the way from the Louisiana, Aria is a five-month-old small Lab/Shep mix. She currently weighs 20 pounds so she may be about 30-40 when full grown. She is happy girl who loves everyone (people, dogs, and cats). She rides in the car well and loves to go on outings. This fun girl needs normal puppy training and lots of TLC. Her adoption fee of $350 includes her spay, current vaccinations, and microchip.
Breed: Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd Mix
Color: White with Tan, Yellow/Fawn
Ginger is an incredibly sweet one-and-a-half year old Cattle Dog/Aussie mix and is a great size at less than 40 pounds. She is very social and friendly. She loves going on walks, going to the dog park, and car rides. She gets along great with every dog and person she meets. However, she has some guarding behaviors in the home and would do best in a home without children. She is both crate and potty trained. Her adoption fee of $225 includes all vaccinations, spay, and microchip.
Breed: Pomeranian/Chihuahua Mix
Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn with White
Meet Ollie, a three-month-old Pomeranian/Chi mix puppy. Ollie is a five pound bundle of fun, already neutered, and has had his first set of vaccinations. True to his breeds, he is confident and a bit headstrong, but listens to his humans and wants to please. Ollie is good with dogs of all sizes, cats, and people. Like most puppies his age, Ollie has sharp puppy teeth, so another tolerant dog and no little humans is probably best for him. Ollie would love to go to puppy classes with his humans to keep learning because he is really smart. His adoption fee of $350 includes his neuter, current vaccinations, and microchip.
Breed: Beagle/Chihuahua Mix
Meet Ms. Phoebe! She is a three-year-old Beagle/Chihuahua mix (we think). At the perfect size of 13 pounds, she is the sweetest girl. She loves to be in your lap, and when not being held, she loves to go on walks. She loves going to the park each day and hanging with her doggie friends. She is good with other dogs and cats. She is also good with all people, and is respectful with kids. She is crate trained. Her adoption fee is $225 includes her spay, microchip, and current vaccinations.
Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix
Color: Black with White
Ruthie is a super sweet 45 pound, five-year-old ‘pocket pitty’, or American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She is good with all humans, dogs, and is very gentle in the bath. Ruthie is house trained and is learning about crate training and life in a house as she was most likely a backyard breeding dog because of her good looks and petite size. Ruthie has a previously healed broken leg, so sometimes she limps a bit when she is tired. The great news is she loves the leash and walks gently when she is taken out for a stroll. She is currently being fostered on a large property and loves to lay in the sun. Ruthie is spayed, microchipped, and current on all of her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is only $225.
