Recruiting for the Senior Volunteer Patrol

Senior Volunteer Patrol is an experienced group of community members that are 50 years and older, and are looking for a fun and active way to give back to the community. The Senior Volunteer Patrol team supports the Police Department by significantly increasing the department’s ability to provide services to the community. The team participates in

Patrol
Traffic control
Handicapped and parking violation enforcement
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operation and readiness
Police Department tours
Visits and calls to housebound seniors (YANA)
Community presentations
Special events

The requirements are

Be at least 50 years of age
Be a U.S. citizen
Possess a valid California Driver’s License
Have proof of auto insurance

Have no felony convictions

Be in good physical condition

Pass a background investigation and polygraph
