Vista Village WiFi to Expand

The Vista Village WiFi system, nearing it’s 3 year anniversary in operation, provides free public WiFi to downtown patrons. A recent grant from San Diego County funded an expansion beyond historic downtown to the Cinepolis Theater area.

There are currently 20 active nodes on the network and 5 more coming.

The most recent edition occurred at BackStreet Brewery providing WiFi service to the pub, Lamppost Pizza and a large outdoor area including most of the theater’s courtyard. 508 Tavern also joined in as a WiFi host. Great Clips and Clay N Latte are next up to get WiFi nodes. Recent upgrades improved capacity at Children’s Paradise, Vista Village Pub, Village Café, Twice On Main Street, Embroidery Image, and your very own Vista Village Business Association.
The current system attracts over 500 daily users and 5500 different users every month moving over 200 GB of data. Other hosts include Quality Lock & Safe, Underdahl Realty, Vista Chamber of Commerce, AllState Insurance, Apothecary, Back2Basics Realty, Contrived to Charm, Metaphor, Nails 1st & Spa, and Yoga Vista.

A special thank you to all the businesses that help to ensure guests to the our downtown can jump online making their visits to the area that much more productive!
