Coaster Train vs. Pedestrian Collision


On, February 27, 2019 at approximately 1803 hours, deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a pedestrian collision, involving a Coaster Train. The collision occurred on the railroad tracks just south of Tamarack Avenue in the city of Carlsbad. A northbound Coaster Train was traveling at approximately 75 miles per hour when an adult male was observed walking on the train tracks. The male was struck by the train.
