Missing Juvenile at Risk In Vista

On April 18 at 5:07 PM, Deputies from the Vista Patrol Station responded to a report of a missing juvenile at risk. A 15 year old autistic female, Abbey Motzer, walked away from her residence near the 800 block of E. Bobier Drive in the City of Vista. Abbey has autism and functions at a level of a 12 year old. She is not taking any medications and has previous unreported history of walking away. Abbey may attempt to hide from law enforcement. She has no phone or money with her.

Deputies conducted an extensive search and were assisted by juvenile detectives and ASTREA. The Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team and San Diego Mountain Rescue Team responded to assist in the search efforts. On 4/19/2019 at approximately 0300 hours, search operations were suspended. Search teams will resume search efforts in the morning.

Abbey is described as a white female juvenile, 5′ 7″, 150 lbs, short blond hair (pixie cut), blue eyes, wearing a gray t-shirt, white shorts, no shoes.
