Perry, Wilson Earn All-CCAA Honorable Mentions

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos women’s soccer’s Lauren Perry and Amy Wilson were each named All-Conference Honorable Mentions by the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) on Thursday morning.

For Perry, this is her second time to be named an All-CCAA Honorable Mention as she took the same honor in 2017. This season, Perry led the Cougars with eight points as she scored three goals and tallied two assists. All three of her goals this season have been game-winning goals. Those goals came in games against Cal State East Bay, No. 1 UC San Diego and Cal State L.A. Perry started in 16 of 17 games played and was in action for a total of 1,146 minutes.

This marks Wilson’s first All-CCAA Honorable Mention. Wilson had the second-most points on the team behind Perry with six, and she tied Perry with a team-high three goals on only four shots. Wilson recorded her game-winning goal in the Cougars’ 1-0 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay. Wilson also played the third-most minutes on the team with 1,506 and started in 16 of 17 games played.

This is the second consecutive season in which the Cougars have had at least two student-athletes named as All-CCAA Honorable Mentions.
