Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament Raises Over $7,000 for Boys & Girls Club

Last Saturday evening, October 27, 2018, 47 tournament participants sat down for a long four hour Texas Hold ‘Em elimination card game. Dinner was served to everyone before the big game and the bar was steadily busy as the evening progressed. There was a wide assortment of whiskey, craft beers, wine, soda and water to drink and the food was delicious, with the main dish of pasta, pulled chicken, pizza, chicken wings, beans, salad and very tasty cupcakes.

The DJ, volunteer and committee member Steve Eidle, played music for the non-card players, since the serious players really didn’t hear much at all, except the sound of their own strategies, and the luck of the draw, to a winning goal. One by one six tables slowly receded to a smaller and smaller size. Laughing, talking and clicking of casino chips was all that could be heard. The end of the tournament was very intense as one by one the players were eliminated. The players also won several baskets, gifts and gift cards. There was also a silent auction for some really awesome prizes such as trips and getaways.
It was a fun night which raised over $7,000 for the Boys & Girls Club. Congratulations to the winners of the evening:
