The Vista Historial Museum Needs Repair


By Jack Larimer – We need help. The home of the Vista Historical Museum needs repair. The Vista Historical Museum is located on about 2 acres. The main building is a 3200 square foot home first occupied in 1934. It houses the museum displays. The 84 year old building is constructed of adobe except for a kitchen addition built in 1952. The building sits on a raised foundation that is in need of repair to upgrade and replace the piers on which the house rests.

In addition, the kitchen addition has begun to settle and needs to be raised and stabilized. The cost of these repairs is over $24,000. These improvements are necessary to maintain the building in good and useable condition and keep our museum going. If you can help, please donate on our website or send donations of any amount to:
