On Saturday, March 9, 2019, over 100 people attended the Celebration of Women of Achievement under partly sunny skies in the Vista Historical Museum outside venue at 2317 Foothill Drive, Vista, CA. The Woman’s Club of Vista hosted the event. There were several women owned business vendors selling their wares and services. Finger food such as shrimp cocktail and assorted fruit and desserts were served. Donations of raffle prizes and an auction encouraged everyone to purchase raffle tickets to win wonderful gifts.

Judy Pantazo, President of the Woman’s Club of Vista GFWC, welcomed the guests. The Presentation of Colors was presented by four young lady North County Young Marines. The presenters were MSgt Inori Killio, Sgt Brianna Marquez, Sgt Dayna Holthus and LCpl Cierra Faulkner. The National Anthem was sung in perfect harmony by the afternoon entertainment, Gin ‘N Tonix. It was beautiful to our ears.

Introductions to everyone that helped put on the event and all that came to celebrate these wonderful ladies were given by Anita Hutchins, Ways & Means Chairperson- Woman’s Club of Vista GFWC.

The Celebrated Women of Achievement Honorees were:
Carol Herrera- Education, Vista Unified School District Trustee 2002-2018

March 10th was Carol Herrera Day in Vista, and March 11th was Kathy Brombacher Day in Vista. Senator Bates then presented a Proclamation to Mayor Judy Ritter and announced that March 12th was Judy Ritter Day in Vista.

California State Assemblymember Tasha Boerner-Horvath presented Proclamations to all three honorees on behalf of the State of California.
